A Sauvie Island Interlude

Beautiful days like this in Portland are to be taken advantage of in the late summer and fall, before the long rainy (but still kind of awesome) winter.

Day trip to Sauvie Island, 10 miles north and half a world away from Portland.

We also saw some wild pheasants. That was neat. And some farm-raised pheasants at the Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch.

Also grabbed some sweet potato butter at the Pumpkin Patch. We'll see how that goes. Anyone ever had it? What does one put it on?

  1. We were there later in the day- around 5pm picking blueberries. Such a great place. :)
